Cooking with essential oils: Chocolate Day 3

Hope you are getting some new ideas about cooking with essential oils. Incorporating them into your recipes is easy. Remember to start with 1-2 drops and taste it before adding more. Essential oils are very potent and powerful, so you don't need much to get the flavor and benefits from them.

 

Today's recipe is light, fluffy and delicious.

 

 

Milk Chocolate Peppermint Mousse

 

Ingredients: 

 

1 cup milk chocolate chips

1 3/4 cups heavy cream (separated)

2 drops Peppermint Oil

3 Tablespoons granulated sugar (you can sub honey)

1/2 tsp vanilla

 

Directions:

 

1. Combine chips and 1/2 cup heavy cream in bowl, melt in microwave for 2 mins-- stirring every 30 seconds. Refrigerate for 10 mins.

 

2. Whip the remaining heavy cream with sugar, vanilla and peppermint oil. Once peaks are formed, fold in the chocolate mixture.

 

3. Serve immediately or refrigerate. Garnish with peppermint leaves or chocolate shavings.
