Blue Tansy is one of the new essential oils unveiled at convention this year. Known as “the beauty oil” for how it’s clarifying to the skin and helps heal tissues, blue tansy is already used in some of my favorite doTERRA blends: Balance and Deep Blue. It's also going to be added to the new anti-aging eye cream launching in November. WOO!
It has a unique property that you need to be aware of: it is actually a dark blue color that will fade on your skin after about 20 minutes. So this is a good reason to dilute this oil before you use it. You can add some to your favorite moisturizer or combine it with a carrier oil like fractionated coconut oil. I've made a 15ml roller bottle with 15 drops blue tansy and FCO so that I can use it for my skin or roll it onto any muscles that are sore. I also roll it onto my inner wrists for aromatherapy-- since it's also known to be uplifting for your mood.
This wee, I'm giving away 4 roller bottles of Blue Tansy: 2 on Instagram and 2 on Facebook! FOUR WINNERS will each receive 1 roller bottle of doTERRA Blue Tansy (made with fractionated coconut oil).
To enter: click on the picture below and find the same picture on my IG account and follow the instructions. Or you can go to my Facebook page.
Only enter in one place as I will be picking 4 different winners. Good luck!!
Although this is not an oil that you can take internally, you can use Blue Tansy in a variety of ways both topically and aromatically.
As previously mentioned, Blue Tansy can be great for your skin. I like adding it to my facial moisturizer to help reduce the appearance of blemishes and soothe your skin.
Blue Tansy’s mellow and slightly fruity scent has specific uplifting properties that help create a positive atmosphere when diffused. Try creating your own blends! Oils that go well with Blue Tansy include Geranium, Clary Sage, Petitgrain, Lavender, Juniper Berry, Spearmint, and Ylang Ylang.
Using it as a natural dye and pleasant fragrance in place of soap colorant as a variation of this post about kid’s DIY soap.
Combine with Lavender and Fractionated Coconut Oil for a soothing massage after a long day. Other oils you can combine it with include Wintergreen, Cypress, or even AromaTouch®.
Add six drops to your bath with one tablespoon Fractionated Coconut Oil and one cup Epsom salt for a calming and relaxing atmosphere. Alternately, add Blue Tansy to these bath bombs.
